Logging food
How do I log a meal?
In the Dietbot tab, tap Tap to speak and say what you ate, for example “Two eggs, a slice of toast and a latte”. You can also use Scan (top right) to photograph your plate, a nutrition label or a barcode, or Type (top right) to search. Check the foods and portions on the review screen, then tap Save.
Where does the nutrition data come from?
Dietbot's built-in database comes from USDA FoodData Central, and it works offline. Values are estimates; package labels may differ. You can add your own foods in Settings → Custom Foods. See Settings → Nutrition Sources & Disclaimer.
How do I set my calorie target?
Go to Settings → Daily Targets. Set a default, add a weekly schedule (for example a different target on weekends), or change just one day. Dietbot doesn't calculate targets for you; ask a health professional what's right for you.
Can I log without opening the app?
Yes. Say “Log a meal in Dietbot” to Siri, add Dietbot to the Action Button or Control Center, or add the Calories widget to your Home Screen.
Do I need Apple Intelligence?
Dietbot works on any iPhone with iOS 27. With Apple Intelligence turned on, it understands longer sentences, writes Insights summaries and answers questions in Ask Dietbot. Without it, Dietbot still finds foods and portions with its built-in parser.
Your data
How do I back up my log or move it to a new iPhone?
Turn on Settings → iCloud Backup while signed in to iCloud. Your log syncs to your private iCloud and appears on your new iPhone when you sign in with the same Apple Account.
How does Apple Health sync work?
Turn on Settings → Sync with Apple Health. Food, water and weight you log are added to Health, and weight from other apps shows in Dietbot. If you denied access, allow it in the Health app under Sharing → Apps → Dietbot.
How do I export or delete my data?
Settings → Export Food Log (CSV) saves a file that opens in Numbers, Excel and Google Sheets. Settings → Delete All Data removes everything from your iPhone and iCloud. It can't be undone, so export first if you want a copy.
Does Dietbot collect my data?
No. Dietbot has no account and no servers. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

I bought Pro but it isn't showing.

How do I cancel my subscription?
In Dietbot, go to Settings → Manage Subscription, or open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. If you bought Lifetime, cancel any subscription you still have.
